Digital Preservation and Interoperability

Safeguarding Digital Archives

Argonautas implements actions to back up its information database and ensure access to digital objects. This includes:

- Regular backups of both the information hosted on the server (digital resources and catalogue information) and digital resources in the process of being published.

- Monitoring the technological environment to anticipate possible format migrations or obsolete software.

- The use of metadata for digital preservation; use of ARK and other support platforms (such as Dialnet).

Interoperability Protocol

Argonautas incorporates the OAI-PMH (Open Archive Initiative - Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) interoperability protocol, allowing other portals and information services to access content and metadata, as published through the Open Journals System (OJS 3.3.0.10).
