Habitus, field and practice of knowledge

Abstract

In the present work we attempt to reflect upon some Pierre Bourdieu’s fundamental theoretical concepts such as the concepts of habitus and field. We try to show possible articulations between both concepts, to account for certain issues present in the academic-professional field. We conclude that the practices o knowledge constitute primary tools necessary to produce other subjective positionings.
