Conversations between an English teacher and her Psychoanalyst friend

The term “conversations” (Latin conversari) alludes to “live in the company” and expresses the value of talk, dialogue and communicate. The text synthesizes long hours of conversation about the teaching of English in the course of a close friendship, which was consolidated around varied experiences in common. Rationale and own views on the methodology of teaching and learning a foreign language is transmitted, as well as on certain peculiarities arising in the practice of this transmission. The dialogue is complemented by the contribution of psychology and psychoanalysis in an attempt to make sense of the results of praxis.
