Architectural Cultural Heritage: an opportunity to reflect upon the construction of collective memory in the local context

Abstract

The present work is an adaptation from a dissertation by the author in an International Convention onOral History held in Córdoba, Argentina, 2014. It attempts to depict the relationship between collective memory, local history, architectural cultural heritage and oral history from the outcome of the Research Project “Patrimonio Cultural y Didáctica” by Facultad de Ciencias Humanas, Universidad Nacional de San Luis. Local examples of the use of architectural landmarks both in the capital city and the province have been used in order to shape the relationship between the concepts afore mentioned.
