Abstract

In this work we address the right of indigenous peoples to education. Based on the data that shows the existence of complex systems of pre-Hispanic education, we propose the "principle of restitution" of this right to the indigenous peoples of Abyayala. We start with a brief description of the "state of the world's indigenous peoples" and the difficulties in accessing education. Next, we describe the educational project for good governance, promoted by Felipe Guaman Poma de Ayala. Third, we raise the need to restore the right to higher education to indigenous peoples. We present as an argument the precedent of Nahuatl education in Mexico-Tenochtitlan. Finally, we collect features of the project developed by the Franciscansat the Colegio Imperial Santa Cruz de Tlatelolco. Wehighlight the integral character of the educational praxis and the multi-epistemic logic of the Colegio de Santa Cruz.
