The epistemological conception in literary theory and criticism: structuralism

Abstract

In the following article we propose to make a review of the fundamental concepts of structuralism, and see how these delineated a whole form of analysis in the field of literary theory. For that purpose, we willfirst define the field of literary theory and criticism, then we will link it to structuralism at a general and particular level, and finally we will observe which were the specific methodological developments derived from that epistemological conception.
