The present work is framed in the research project “Tecnologías y pedagogías emergentes, herramientas claves para la inclusión, retención y egreso de los estudiantes - 2018-2021” (Emerging Technologies and Pedagogies, Key Tools for the Inclusion, Retention and Graduation of Students at the Faculty of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences - National University of San Luis). Dropping out is one of the most alarming aspects faced by higher education. Its analysis is a fundamental but highly complex process. The aim of this paper is to explore the current situation of dropping out in the Industrial Engineering and Bromatology academic programs of the Faculty of Engineering and Agricultural Sciences (FICA), and in the Certified Public Accountant and Licentiate in Management academic programs, of the Faculty of Social, Economic and Juridical Sciences (FCEJS), at the National University of San Luis. This work also aims at showing the perspective of the academic coordinators involved in the the programs mentioned above and that of the presidents of the students’ centers of both faculties in relation to the problem of dropping out.
