Abstract

In this work we propose an analysis of the offers of permanent training specifically aimed at teaching, offered by the National University of Cuyo (UNCuyo) in the province of San Luis between 1940 and 1955, as part of university extension activities and in the framework of academic policies. The choice of the historical period is based on the delimitation of a stage that begins at the creation of the NationalInstitute of Teacher Training, the first university in San Luis, and finishes with the completion of the first peronism. During these years, these offers emerged, expanded and consolidated, just as the UNCuyo structure grew in San Luis. To achieve the objective proposed ,we have analyzed documentary sources from the archive of the Normal School "Paula D. de Bazán"; the Historical and Documentary Archive of the National University of San Luis (UNSL); Rectorate of UNCuyo and UNSL; Historical Archive of the Province and La Opinión newspaper, belonging to the selected period. Content analysis has allowed us to identify and characterize training actions and specific regulations to understand the purposes and themes developed, which gave meaning to the training policies of the university. This production is part of a doctoral research work that in the Consolidated Research Project "Teacher formation in San Luis. Between the educational expansion and the agony of normalism", UNSL, which is the continuation of three previous projects.
