Abstract

This paper presents a learning experience in practice carried out with a student from the fourth year of the career of Special Education in Faculty of Humanities of the National University of San Luis Practice VI Case Study is part of the fundamental components of practice from first to fourth year. In this curricular space, the "case" on which students carry out the study, is constituted by a real educational situation, built upon information obtained from a particular institution (Special school, Educational-therapeutic Center, Day Center, Common Schools open to diversity), and with the contributions of teachers, co-trainers and other professionals in the organization, under the supervision of the students’ professors. This learning experience takes place in an educational-Therapeutic Center from the City of San Luis. It deals with experiences, problems and insights that have emerged around a case study of a 21 year-old man with intellectual disabilities. This situation questions about the problems of the infantilization of disability and the need for providing social support and affective bonds.
