Psychoanalysis and Education: a Dialogue about the Educational Link

Abstract

In the framework of the research project “Education -Psychoanalysis: the link between passions and desire”, which focuses on the educational scene and, specifically, on the possible encounter between the principal subjects, we examine the conditions enabling that social bond. In this regard, we ask the following questions: What is the teacher moved by to support the educational link? Is there always an educational link? What happens to the "subject-teacher" in the exercise of his/her functions? What teacher ́s attributes are at stake which trigger in the student the desire for cultural appropriation? These questions link simultaneously the psychoanalysis and education.
