Abstract

This work aims at characterizing the poetical and convivial environments which become active when developing the Forum Theatre, as a branch of the Theatre of the Oppressed. This characterization was contextualized within a criticism facing the illusion of thinking about the weakening of the oppressed struggle in the Latin-American context after the experience of military dictatorships. The role of the spectactor in the Forum Theatre was analyzed on the basis of the theatre philosophy concepts, such as micro-politics and convivium, considering him as another actor in the theatrical event. This analysis was carried out taking into account the official memory and the current hegemonic theatre circles. The role of the spectactor was analyzed as a component of a poetics of struggle which has survived military dictatorship repression and the discourses seeking its invisibility.
