Abstract

The understanding of gender-based violence presupposes different ways of approaching, whose epistemological point of view needs to be explained. This explanation opens up the possibility of an interpretative turn in the notion of gender-based violence. In this sense, the notion of anachronistic ethos, proposed by Femenías, and the concrete contributions of Judith Butler about the performative verbal acts constitute tools whose value of theoretical-political use make possible the comprehension of the gender-based violence notion, generated and sustained in a symbolic production pattern.
