The purpose of this paper is to present some reflections on teacher training, thought of as a set of specific, particular and situated devices that are part of a political project and a normative network that aims to give them form. This article is the product of an inquiry about the particularities of teacher training in the Normal Schools of San Luis in the first half of the 20th century, understanding that the application of national regulations could not always be fulfilled, configuring a different device, to from the conditions of possibility of the time. This displacement of the norm has given rise to what we call a peripheral normalism.
