Abstract

This work was carried out within the framework of the research Project P- 4-1214: teacher training during the first peronist government in the city of San Luis: culture, politics and society”, UNSL and whose aim is to provide a contribution to the production of a social and education history of San Luis.
The present work seeks to explore in the life history and in the formation of the normal-school teachers that acted as school inspectors in the province of San Luis by mid XX century. We believe that this exploration will allow us to analyze part of what happened regarding teaching practices at the time in the capital city as well as other cities in the province, together with the formation, trajectory and special characteristics of the different ways in which the subjects involved acted in relation to the tasks that were assigned to them in terms of the educational policies of the time.
In this case, we will work with two normal-school teachers, one is an ENJPP graduate whom we will refer to as J.M and the other one an Escuela Normal Regional de San Francisco graduate whom we will refer to as G.A.
