Is Bourdieu's theory a falsifiable construct? Reflections on personalism in institutions

Abstract

In the present essay the discussion is proposed about Bourdieu's Theory of Reproduction and its possibility of being falsifiable or not. We will analyze in particular some of the fundamental and constitutive concepts of this theory: habitus, field, illusio and unconscious in relation to the concept of falsifiability to determine its explanatory potential in the institutional social analysis.
