Abstract

The investigations that are developed from the National University of Mar del Plata, within the framework of the APIKSInternational Project, intend to analyze the main features of the academic profession, recovering quantitative aspects that are deepened with qualitative analyzes that make visible the trajectories of academics from our own university. However, in the analysis of the global and local academic profession, the distributionof academics according to category and teaching position is complemented by one of the unavoidable aspects in the study of the field, such as the question of gender and its traversals in academics. In training. Regarding this variable, in recent decades in Argentina, the relationship has balanced. Retrieving the latest data from the Secretariat for University Policies (SPU) we can share that, for the national university system as a whole, the relationship between genders continues in relative balance. In the case of the APIKS Argentina database, the percentages yield similar and dissimilar results according to the information cross-references that are proposed. In this article, we analyze the trends of the activities carried out by academics in training according to their gender and the way in which this affects the type of activity that academics in training declare to carry out.achieved in a recently completed doctoral thesis and in a master's thesis in progress.
