Trajectories as a structuring principle of secondary school policies in Argentina: a critical analysis of government regulations

The paper addressesthe orientation of recent secondary school policies in Argentina. The centrality of the concept of trajectories as the foundation of reforms of the last two decades is studied, within the framework of the expansion and compulsory nature of secondary school and the consolidation of poverty as a structural feature of Argentine society.We describe the main federal agreements for secondary education, between 2009 and 2022, and the policies promoted in four jurisdictions: the Provinces of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe and Río Negro and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.The orientation of the changes, their conceptions and the overlooked aspects are problematized, focusing on teachers' working conditions and budgetary restrictions.
