In this paper we describe some reflections about the complexity involved in college admission for beginners who aim to be college students; primarily for those who have educational trajec to ries in disadvantage to the rules required by the Academy. These reflections want to interpellate University's role, and its responsibility on the creation and implementation of policies which involves recognition and welcoming newcomers to this new field. These policies, and the actors who embody them, should be based on trust, in the possibility of these people who want to get in the university. Without trust and hospitality, among other factors, it might be impossible to construct relationships that make university a "place" for these subjects. A place that offers cultural heritage which involves the University daily. If these policies do not place confidence and hospitality in the center of the scene for the beginners, the risk is that many of them will fail to appropriate the cultural heritage and become "cultural outcasts".
