The Learning Portfolio. An Alternative to Democratise University-Level Assessmen

This work representsan opportunityto systematize and socialize assessment practices that have developed over the last years within a specific subject in the curriculum of theTeaching and Licentiate Programmes inEducational Sciences,offered by the NationalUniversity of San Luis. Assessment model sin education have evolved over the years until a contemporary period,where democratization in assessment ideas is in crea singly emphasized, at least for discursive purposes. The experience gainedinthe past seven years translates into a democratis in gassessment strategy within an areaoftraining for future professionalsof education.The portfoliois assumedhereas an assessment practice materialising a conceptionthatcangive visibility tothe evaluated individual, encouragereflection processes, regainthat perspectiveand putit to discussion with theexternal evaluator. Thisworkis part ofthe research projectentitled "Educational Assessment as a Challenge. Discourses and practices. Subjects andcontexts", of the Universidad Nacional de San Luis (Argentina). It articulates with theteachingpractices ofresearchersthemselves, and it aims at giving meaning to thosepractices.
