Children's and young people's literature: A static experience with special kids
Keywords:

As faculty members responsible for teaching the course on Children's and Young People’s Literature in the Teacher Training Program in Special Education (FCH – UNSL), it became necessary for us to approach the specific field in which the students of this program work. To this end, we designed and developed the outreach project “Towards a Children’s and Young People’s Literature without limitations” at Service N10 “Jean Piaget,” Puertas de Cuyo School in the city of San Luis. This project consisted of literary workshops aimed at deaf and blind children and young people for whom we held storytelling, reading, and dramatization sessions. For this, we placed greater emphasis on sound, body, gestural, kinesthetic, plastic, olfactory expressions, among others. Additionally, we had the collaboration of teachers who interpreted what was said in sign language. This work aims to provide a recount of the experience lived and the analysis we conducted on it, and to offer theoretical contributions that may serve for potential literary projects for individuals with special needs.
