Bibliography selection for beginner ́s level courses of Latin language at the university and an annex with a teaching proposal.
Keywords:
selected bibliography, latin language, beginner’s level, undergraduate degree, teachingAbstract
This article presents a selected bibliography useful for the teaching of beginners’ courses of Latin language for undergraduate students of disciplines different from Classical Philology. The bibliography is suitable for courses with a linguistic predominant content, aimed at the development of reading comprehension skills to enable students to access authentic Latin texts. The annex contains a reading guide for Mary Beard’s SPQR: A History of Ancient Rome. This is a suitable title for non-specialists students who need to gather information about the historical context of the use of the Latin language throughout ancient times.
