Abstract

This paper aims to establish a dialogue between Guillermo Lariguet’s presentation of moral realism in the book La metaética puesta a punto (2023) and a proposal for ethical perspectivism. In his chapter on moral realism, Lariguet examines the challenges faced by
both naturalistic and non-naturalistic variants of this philosophical stance. Following a brief review of the chapter, I will analyze the strengths and difficulties associated with moral realism. Then, drawing on central theses from Friedrich Nietzsche’s philosophy, I will
incorporate insights from Nietzschean constructivism (Silk, 2015) and the interpretation of a “second nature” (Constâncio in Gori, 2023) as keys to rethinking moral cognitivism from an alternative perspective.
